Kate + Ryan - Day Block Wedding

Oh, happy day! Kate and Ryan tied the knot in a classic Minneapolis wedding at the historic Day Block building. Their adorable fur baby, Turner, made an appearance to celebrate, too! Even though it rained most of the afternoon, Kate and Ryan were so giddy and gracious for all the guests who came to celebrate their love.

There are so many good moments from their wedding day - sweet first look, handwritten notes for each other, heartfelt vows, the way Ryan looks at Kate in general + North Dakota classic cheer: apple pie shots for the married couple - but my favorite hands down was Ryan performing a song that he wrote for Kate during the ceremony. Romantic would be an understatement!

Kate + Ryan, I can't wait to see all the adventures you will go on. So much love to you both!

Kate + Ryan + Turner - Minneapolis Engagement

I got to hang out with Kate, Ryan and Turner for a walk around the lake and we even grabbed some ice cream to top off the sweet evening!

Despite their busy schedules, Kate and Ryan always make sure to do something sweet and special for each other, especially around their engagement milestone dates. Like Kate booking a last minute camping trip for them to get away, Ryan staying up all night to make homemade granola for Kate's breakfast, or as simple as leaving love notes for each other with some chocolate! They are such gentle + loving humans, and a joy to be around. It makes my heart happy to see how much they adore each other. (+ Turner!)

I am so excited for their wedding in October. Congrats again, Kate + Ryan!

John + Michele Since 1978

John and Michele have been in love since 1978. They were young but knew it then to be true love. They display what it means to commit to one another and live out their marriage vows said 36 years ago. No fluff or anything fancy, just the traditional marriage vows - to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health. Yep, John and Michele do that and more.

Lucky for me, they happen to be my in-laws! Not only are they an awesome couple, but even greater grandparents! Our kids get showered with their unconditional love and uninterrupted + unlimited playtime. I am so thankful for these two and will always aspire to be like them as Jade and I grow old together.

Today is John's birthday. Since he doesn't use Facebook, will you be so kind and leave him a little birthday note here? We will make sure he sees it!
