Oskar is ONE!

Alright, technically Oskar turned ONE a month ago. A month and a day ago to be exact. What I am trying to say is that I dropped the ball on sharing these on time. But better late than never, yeah?

For Oskar's actual birthday, I bought him a slice of a sheet cake from a grocery store. No party, no fuss. We had a nice dinner as a family, cheered him on while he destroyed that slice of cake and it was perfect!

Feeling a little bad/negligent about not throwing him a party, I decided to bake him a proper birthday cake a couple days late. Then it sort of turned into a full cake smash session! Oooops! Oskar wasn't a fan of the headpiece but loved the cake. Of course, Ari was willing to do anything (aka wear the headpiece) to get some frosting action!

P.S. I think this is my third personal blog post since I started this little space. What do you guys think? Should I share more personal content or nah? Honestly creating "content" on the regular for the blog seems like such a daunting task. (serious respect to all the mommy/lifestyle bloggers out there!) But maybe I will share bits and pieces of us when I feel inspired do so and I hope you follow along.

Ella is ONE!

This sweet little lady turned one last week! Yay! For this big milestone session, we walked around a park, smelled flowers and we even read a book in the field. Of course that's what happens when the momma's a teacher! Amy and Kyle have this gentle, patient, loving way of approaching parenthood (and life!) and it sure is reflected on Ella.

Happy belated Birthday, sweet Ella! You are so loved!

Spring Beach Family Session

How adorable is Emerson's big toothy smile? We had so much fun exploring this tiny but mighty cute town of Seaside while we were vacationing in Destin, Florida. Little Emerson just wanted to hang on to his momma the whole time and it was so sweet. Being a boy mom myself, I know I'm super biased... But there is something tender about the bond between momma and her baby boy.

This family means so much to me as they have allowed me capture their joy through every step of their parenthood. It all began with Katie's cute belly and here we are celebrating Emerson's 1st time around the sun. Katie and Joe - thank you for letting me crash your beach time. You are such amazing humans and parents and Emerson sure is lucky! (and super cute, obvs!)
